The Kleiner Deutschmann restaurant was a fixture of Springdale, Pennsylvania for over 25 years, and took pride in not just the fine German cuisine, but the distintive decor and "old world" atmosphere.
My design reflected this old-world appeal by incorporating the Kleiner Deutschmann logo, the header in German in a Gothic font, and the cultured color scheme and site design with flourishes such as ornamentation and border trim and filigree, refelcting the ornate decoration, trim and paneling inside the restaurant.
The menu section was left highlighted ast the client's request to make it the focus of the website visitor's attention. I was also tasked with writing the home page introductory text after researching the resaurant with relevant articles, newspaper clippings, and the resaurant's own menu.
