Digital Art: A Most Memorable Vision

This is a lower-resolution  version of digital artwork commissioned by a art gallery owner in Red Bank, NJ. He simply handed me the text of his poem and asked me to create a digital work of art for him to accompany it.

I found the original image I used as a base in a collection of royalty-free photographs. It had the right meadow clearing... but featured a cloudy sky, in summer, in broad daylight. I ended up doing a fair amount of photo manipulation to achieve the crisp autumn night with a lone brilliant star and not-quite-full moon.
